Xbox and Wii

Yes I am an avid Xbox and Wii gamer. I have been a gamer since the very first NES. My parents then bought us a Nintendo 64 and after my brothers graduated I bought an Xbox. I still own my first Xbox and now I have a Nintendo Wii. For the most part I play a variety of games, but currently I have been playing Guitar Hero and Mario Kart Wii.

New Chapter In My Life – Ready For Hire

December 15 , 2008

Since my last blog I’ve been on quite a ride with many ups and some downs. Back in October I left Nebraska Furniture Mart as the Creative Design Specialist to Oriental Trading Company for some new challenges and opportunities. I was sad having to leave the friends I had made at Nebraska Furniture Mart, but excited for the new possibilites awaiting me. Let alone I was excited to go on my vacation before my new job.

My vacation consisted of going to New Jersey to the Six Flags Park where I rode Kingda Ka (as shown below)...the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world. It was so much fun that I rode it three times. Once in the back and twice in the front. We tried to record it while in front, but for some reason we were unable to. Then again at 128 mph what would you expect. Another great thing about my trip was going to New York City. I always dreamed of seeing what New York City was like and I finally saw it. It still amazes me that I was there and I wish to go back to spend more time seeing New York City a little closer than just one day.

Right after returning I was ready for my new job to begin. I was making friends and catching on quickly and really enjoyed what I was doing. However, December 4 was a sad day for all and especially me. We were informed that there were going to be more lay-offs due to the economy. Me being a new hire I was one to go. I miss my co-workers and wish I was given a better chance to prove what I was able to do for the company.

Now I’m currently on the job search looking again for the opportunities and challenges I went to Oriental Trading for. I’m not one to give-up or let anyone down...especially my friends, my family and myself. So if you’re looking for a quick learner and someone fun to work work, please download my resume and get in touch with me. Thanks and hope to hear from you.

Next Vacation

May 12, 2008

Why not talk about vacations when school is just about to get out? Well, I have a place in mind already for where I want to go. As you can see the picture to the left is of Top Thrill Dragster in Sandusky, Ohio. Just last August during the first week of school I went there and had a blast. Ever since I saw Cedar Point being one of the top theme parks in the U.S. I was determined to go there to ride the Top Thrill Dragster. Which, at the time I found out was the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world. Only to find out after we had already planned to go that New Jersey built a similar one taller and faster. Well I am determined again to ride the best rollercoaster in the world … Kingda Ka. Hopefully while we’re in New Jersey we can make a stop up to New York and to see the Statue of Liberty. As for now I’m working on a countdown to when I’ll be going.
