Traditional
In my traditional medium section of illustrations I tend to use acrylics with sharpies, sometimes watercolors, colored pencils and oil pastels. Enjoy and laugh, because I know you have a sense of humor.
"Squirrel with Bawls"
A crazy squirrel who just drank Bawls energy drink. 12x16 Acrylic painting with Sharpies.
"The Angry Bunny"
This won a Bronze AIGA Award in '07.
Hey, if you dropped your expensive coffee you would be angry too. This was the start of the style for me. The idea came to me as I sketched while talking to someone about coffee. 12x16 Acrylic painting with Sharpies.
"Go Go Godzilla"
Oh No There Goes Tokyo! Go Go Godzilla! I took the skateboard design and made it into a painting. 12x16 Acrylic painting with Sharpies.
"King Kong Plays Ping Pong"
...With a Doorbell. This is the versus of the Godzilla. I took the skateboard design and made it into a painting. 12x16 Acrylic painting with Sharpies.
"Captain Hook"
... is a raccoon. We had to make a illustration from a poem by Shel Silverstein, I believe. The background is water-downed acrylic and Hook is colored pencil.
"Safety and Mayhem"
It's Jamie and Adam from the Discovery Channel's show Mythbusters. They normally blow up, intentionally, most of their assignments. Acrylic caricature painting.
"Charlie Chaplin"
Oil pastel portrait of Charlie Chaplin. I didn't feel like doing 'normal' skin tones.
"Mona Lisa"
Oil pastel portrait of Mona Lisa, like the Charlie Chaplin I did with unnatural colors. She has a dead or alien look, it's kinda creepy.
